With a passion for collaboration and a penchant for creative exploration, Sofia Kerpan combines an element of whimsy and hyperrealism with authentic humanity across her body of work. Her distinct ability to hone in the unique creative style on each project is evident in her work on spots for brands such as Nike, Google, Fender and Square, as well as music videos for top artists including Charli XCX, Gunna, Princess Nokia, Kehlani and Lil Yachty. She earned an MTV VMA nomination for “Best Editing” for her work on Lizzo’s “Good as Hell” music video.
Chicago-born and raised Kerpan was drawn to filmmaking early on, following her cinephile tendencies from creating videos with friends as a teenager. While studying film at Columbia College, she immersed herself in the Chicago music scene and started cutting music videos, cultivating a talent for editing. She made her way to Los Angeles in 2016, rapidly building her reel as a freelance editor to create a diverse body of work across music videos, fashion films, commercials, short films, and branded content.
